When did Rooney ever say he wanted to leave? Just curious.

 

Sigh, why do people find it so hard to understand the English language. Moyes did not say Rooney was second choice, he said if anything happened to RVP we would need him. To make this simple for you, every top team needs two top class strikers, if you would have tried to buy RVP you would have heard Moyes say "we need him in case anything happens to Rooney" (Jose can be excused as English is not his first language). Don`t worry though, you still have three days to get a couple of strikers in and we could still get a decent midfielder.

 

If SAF was telling the truth, long before Moyes took over. If we are to believe the news outlets and opposition supporters Rooney was furious because he never said this so, we are left with a dubious verbal transfer request which has never been repeated despite the desperate attempts by Jose to buy him.
