Spurs are good enough without us helping them. Just stood off and let their players walk through us. Awful.
That has been apparent a few times this season - I really don't understand the 'plan'. Of if there is one.
A tonking. Terrilble passion. Awful defending. Nada in midfield. Jack s%&t going forward. I am worried that we are sinking fast in the table. I don´t care how many "injuries" a team has, the replacements should be able to play a bit at least. Last ten games, 10 points, 10 goals scored and 21 let in, a worrying trend. Tottenham did a job on us today. Glad I got up to watch it all! Not going to hit the panic button but had a good look to check where it is!!!!! Is anyone else concerned we can slip into the dog fight?
I think there is a possibility we could slip into a dogfight, but in the second half of the season we could probably get away with 4/5 wins and 4/5 draws. I think the Pozzos will assess the overall injury situation and look to bring in 2-3 new faces in Jan to ensure those results are possible. Hopefully we may just luck out too and find that Swansea, Hull and Sunderland (yes, I know we lost, but it was an OK performance that day) remain worse than us. If we could just get Janmaat, Success and Okaka consistently fit, that would make a huge difference.
Last season at White hart lane we were absolutely thrashed - even though the score as 1-0. spurs are just one of the teams that we find very hard to play against - as I see it. Losing Zuniga in the warm-up is a joke too far. Once we have a fit squad (assuming we ever do) we'll be fine!
I think defensively we are shocking. Do we expect to be above Burnley, West Ham or Bournemouth? I don't think we are currently better than any of them.
Any half decent Championship side would have punished defending like that - let alone a top class team like Spurs. People like Kaboul need to concentre on their defending rather than worrying about how a previous manager might have "disrespected" him.. Should know better being an experienced player.
Well as I said elsewhere this bad run is a bit annoying because we would almost be safe with another 7/9 points!!
Completely agree. All he did was prove to that manager he (the manager) had been correct. I don't care that he scored. I thought that his performance would have been disappointing if we'd been in the lower end of the Championship - it was chronic, and his other performances for us haven't made that seem like a one-off, I'm afraid. I worry what they do when they do defensive drills in training. It's not working or improving that I can see. Does anyone else see any improvement in any defensive area? I would value everyone's opinions on that question. I don't know if it's just me!
