Stats in this don´t help him - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...ces-uncertain-future-arsenal-bournemouth-yet/
Not top of this league...somehow! http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...00_days_to_injury_during_2016_17/?ref=mr&lp=4
Wasn't he dropped from a recent squad for a game. Maybe he's someone who's living on his past reputation. Don't think I want him either.
and yet at one stage he did appear to have it all ahead of him. You just wonder if he would not be able to rediscover his previous form - but as has been said injuries are not our strongest area
Seems like there is difficulty in rearranging our game with Chelsea. Lots of dates are out due to clashes with Champions League dates assuming the game is to be broadcast live as rules say they cannot be in the same week. Looks like it might be right at the end of the season in May.

Must be pretty sure we are staying up and will progress as a club. Been very good in a poor side so far.
Just how out of touch Mazzarri is is summed up in a Watford Observer article - perhaps if he could speak English he could comment on what fans think. Watford head coach Walter Mazzarri has denied the club’s fan base are unhappy with the Hornets' current form. Frustration among supporters peaked after the abject display which led to a 1-0 defeat against Crystal Palace last time out, but Mazzarri denies claims of unrest. He said: “I don’t think the fans are unhappy in this moment. After some games I was also not happy but it finishes there".
and yet today a different side : “We are not at all safe. Hull City won and the teams below won so we have to go and think about each game,” Mazzarri said. “We have to play like we did today. If we play like we did today we will be safe. “I think we can play against any team and have always been far away from the relegation zone. We have been unlucky with injuries as well. “If you take everything into consideration, our objective was always to stay in the Premier League.” He is right that we have always been quite a few points ahead of relegation thanks to our good start - the fear was the gap was narrowing. First time I have seen him recognise we were not "safe" though. He is also right about injuries - but was the objective this season really only to avoid relegation. I had hoped he was brought in to improve on QSF.
The table resembles many European leagues in that the elite six clubs are at the top, one or two a fair way behind, an enormous peloton of mediocrity (in which we find ourselves) and a few stragglers at the bottom.... boring. The natural order of things has been restored... Whatever WM says, I think GP and SD were expecting us to compete for a European slot, much like WBA this season. I would imagine that the boardroom are disappointed in the way things have gone for us. Very disappointed.
Some consolation I guess for their fans who will drop into the 4th tier for the first time since 1959. Amazing to think 30 years ago they beat Spurs in the FA Cup at Wembley
It may be about 30 years ago I watched Coventry beat the Horns convincingly 5-0 at their place and thinking what a super stadium they had at the time.
Starting to watch Watford the first season I really remember was when Coventry and Crystal Palace pipped us to the two promotion places in the old third division.
