    Seriously off topic I know.

    2 options:

    1) Vodafone with iPhone SE unlimited texts/calls, 16GB data and uses this data abroad
    2) Three with Samsung Galaxy 8 unlimited texts/calls, 12 GB data and use this data abroad.
    Price wise - no difference.

Which do I choose and why?

It doesn't matter what advice we give you, you think Haidara is a footballer. You're a lost cause.

No. I'm an iphone guy. I've had both and I think they are a better phone but would find it difficult to pinpoint exactly why. I just prefer the way they operate. In terms of service provider VODAFONE were a bit of a nightmare. The coverage was great but the customer service was terrible. I'm with O2 now and I don't like ringing them but they wipe the floor with VODAFONE. Never been with Three so couldn't say. As I understand the big pull with them is the data unlimited bundles. Given you are not going down that route I'd look at VODAFONE most likely. Just on coverage really. I think EE and O2 are the better ones to be honest.

    I think coverage is key.

    Cheers!

Never will go with O2 again and EE are over priced in my opinion.

Did you ever use Vodafone abroad and how good the coverage they get there?

I did. Nowhere particularly far flung, just in Europe. Never had any issues.

Its strange though isn't it, everyone has different experiences. I think the sum of it all is that none of them are great all of the time. It just comes down to money and the best coverage. The customer service is all hit and miss for me.

That is good - I was leaning towards Vodafone and couldn't care about the ****e customer services - no company will ever be as bad as Talk Talk.

Wait for the Galaxy Note 8 which should be coming around September by current estimates. That's what I'm doing anyway. I have an Macbook Pro so I'm used to Apple but I hate the interface on IPhones and Ipads compared to Android. Does my head in. I've heard plenty of anecdotal evidence that most people who switch from Android to IPhone regret it.

I've had iphones, iPad and iPods.
Changed to an Android phone last year, and the only problem I have is that I didn't do it earlier.

I've had problems with Samsung's three battery's have swollen up over time and caused the phone to break.

I can't quite get on with iPhones. Not sure why as I like apples other products.

On the other hand I have had 2 HTC's that have been RELLY good phones. And they are built like a tank. I have an HTC 10 at the moment and easily the best phone I have used.

Not on your list, but I can recommend the Huawei P9 Lite, I had one and it was great until I accidently dropped in down the toilet last week.

Stopped paying for a contract phone a while ago, as much as I liked Apple, I felt somewhat a slave to the system. I must of spent loads on apple music and for what.

I do have an ipad on contract though, but this finishes in the next couple of months. I will not be renewing.

Wouldn't consider Samsung or android, I like not having a phone. With the ipad no-one can ring me, its either text FB or some other messaging service which suits me fine!

This ...never wanted or liked apple..any proprietary system is bad news for all ..and apple have made a fine art of exploiting you being locked in to them.

Have a mobile that I only turn on when I want too (when I remember to charge it and take it with me <laugh> ) ..everyone else can contact me through a messaging service on my tablet ...best decision I made

I would say adult entertainment websites are definitely better on a tablet too. Feel sorry for people who have to use a tiny phone

I mostly don't have my mobile charged or with me. I changed to PAYG a while ago as even the cheapest contract was far more data, etc than i use. Only have it with me when I'm at work in case I get a call about my kids - my wife works much further away so I'm main contact.
