Would have always agreed with you but we found the Maylanza just outside Los Christianos (backs onto the Americas golf course) a few years ago and the kids loved it. Went back for the fifth time last year because we all know a few of the staff, local restaurants etc but it just felt wrong. Villa in Cyprus this year instead

Y mate who sits in the kop has a house in a village in cyprus.charges his mates £10 pp per night.there is a car there too.

Jan and I went for a week last year without the boys and loved it. Didn't bother with the cities but hired a car and went off exploring.

Hiring a villa at Latsi Harbour and will hire speedboats, Dunebuggies etc so the boys will have real fun. Latsi has a string of nice restaurants on the seafront and villa has a pool so no need to go into Paphos etc even if Ben wants to go to the titty bars.

Will also head up into the mountains for a couple of days, the air up there is fantastic and we met a guy running a little restaurant who did the most amazing mezze that was never ending and fabulous. Will stay with him and while away an afternoon and evening with his family and their homemade food and wine

 

Sounds fantastic.
Last time at kiotari we hired jet skis for half a day and did what turned out to be about 40 miles along the east and south coast. Awesome.

Fancy some game fishing this year.

Never got into fishing but I said to Jan at Christmas it is on my bucket list. Quite fancy sea fishing and, of course, you already have all the gear

 

You might need a bigger boat.

Florida or cuba for a days marlin fishing would be something!
Only done it twice.... Not sure a little boat out of whitby was a great introduction. . Cold as **** and it was July.
