How long will this thread (or Trollope) last? Let's see how it goes this next fortnight.

If we get a couple (or three) decent results before the international break everything might change. At the moment there's no evidence that he can take this club forward - and I don't mean just out of the bottom three although that would be a start.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but I did say before he was appointed that we should go for a new broom like Rowett or Wagner to shake this club up at player level and not carry on with someone effectively from the old regime - a far too cosy as well as cheap option.

It's all very well getting plaudits as a club about being family friendly and techno innovative with the "fan experience" at the stadium, in my view that comes a poor second to success on the pitch.

That may be an "old fashioned" approach from someone who's roughed it as a fan many a time this past 40 odd years, but this club has gone downhill in "fan experience" on the pitch this past few years and that's where it matters to me.

The whole fan experience all boils down to what's on the pitch, you don't pay £500 a year so your kid can play on a playstation for 90 minutes and you can have a free cuppa, football is when it boils down to it an entertainment game and the football we've been served up since 2011 has been anything but entertaining.

Bit like whale watching then. A rare threatened beast lots of sympathy for its situation but ultimately doomed.

    micky mouse watch maybe.

Fan experience is probably more for the away fan than the home fan.

entertaining football even if losing is what gets the home fans on side.

never mind the results in the next game or two, performances is what is needed. Points will come with the performances, though Trollope may not see them.

I have zero confidence in this team.

I reckon we'll lose tomorrow & on Tuesday and also at Burton.

Trollop is not the problem. It runs deeper than that; the whole structure and foundation of the football club has been undermined and is being destroyed. That is down solely to Mr Tan.

Actually whale watching is pretty accurate for a night out in Cardiff at the moment

Trouble is that without Tan we would have sunk 6 or 7 years ago.

Looks like round one to Trollope, but I've no idea how the game went.

Didn't listen to it today. Down near Christchurch in Hampshire for a week's break in a cottage with my four dogs - (2 poodles, the wife and her sister......<laugh>)

Just saw the result and must admit I was in a pretty good frame of mind before I did. There's a pub across the road from the cottage with a lovely garden to enjoy a drink. Four pints of Peroni this afternoon ensured I didn't give a **** one way or the other when I logged on to the results, but the win made it even better.

I'll get into more into the detail of what went on up at Rotherham over the next few hours and catch up with the comments on here when I sober up tomorrow morning.

The sun is out down here, the beer is just across the road, they serve some lovely grub over there for this evening and we're out of the bottom 3 - what more could a man want eh? <cheers>

Plenty of opportunities with very few on target.

Enjoy the break Sparkey. I'd keep your head down if the two poodles read these pages!!!!

BT - it might have only been three - I lose count after the second. No, come to think of it, it was definitely 4 - the dogs all bought me one each.....<laugh>

As for the game yesterday, no idea how we won it from what I've read, but there you go 3 points in the bin are very welcome.

Won't be there for the Derby game on Tuesday, I'll still be down here and maybe have another 4 Peroni if it has the same effect on our result. <cheers>

Well every now and then we have to take one (or four) for the team. Keep it up Sparkey and if this system works, I'll gladly chip in for a Peroni or three!!

BfB also sitting in the sun somewhere in the Algarve no doubt drinking something alcoholic. This could catch on!

BT... BfB can buy his own beers .... unless he can prove a link between success and his drinking.

A win against Derby tomorrow will see me more confident. A loss against Derby tomorrow will probably see me get a pair of scissors and slice through my season ticket. Joking aside, tomorrow is crucial for Trollope, get a win and get the fans back on side, lose and see the gates dwindle even more.
