I knew about putting your laptop etc in your check in luggage in certain countries. Yesterday I came through Ataturk (Istanbul) traveling to Manchester As I have on many occasions, the reason for this thread is when I went to board my plane everyone was searched thoroughly as was the carry on luggage. I had both of my power packs confiscated due to the size. I think there are 8 countries atm that do this so just be aware. One of my power packs was quite small but more chunky than slim. Boring thread I know but just be aware. I believe it will only get worse and include more destinations.

Back to what you where doing, hope I didn't put you to sleep for to long.

I saw about this the other week. It's something our country insisted certain airports do for British bound flights, and it's flawed.

Yeah Britain announced it a few weeks ago. For some reason it covers Istanbul but not other Turkish airports, which seems like a simple way of getting round the problem if you're a terorrist.
