I think he just has a press conference every 2 days due to the fact that we are so good that we provide replays for young lads to double their experience and always get to league cup semis... and the press ask just about nothing else so it must get boring. AND... he's no intention of singing anyone as i said nearly 2 weeks ago now.
SAKHO LOAN BID REJECTED Sky sources understand Liverpool have rejected Southampton's loan offer for Mamadou Sakho. Liverpool want to sell the player in this transfer window and are looking for at least £20m. Sevilla and West Ham have also been linked with the Frenchman.
its a case of pushing this to the end of the window. i think if the only deal on show is this Southampton one i think he will go on loan to them. any defrayment of his wages or a small fee makes sense. especially if it helps Southampton v our rivals! I am sure however we want to sell him but if we can't we won't be leaving him sitting.
So the only activity on the transfer market is outbound then by all accounts. Hope we can bank some money for Sahko. With the sale of Illori it'd give us an extra 23-25m in the war chest. I can't fault Klopp at all for not signing anyone if that is where we end up. I wanted to sign a couple of players to keep up the momentum but if you look at it realistically, and Klopp has said this, no player is better than the wrong player. Add to that, Klopp believes that a preseason is essential, anyone we buy might struggle with the system, expectations and tempo of our game mid season anyway... In any case, we will have nearly a fully fit squad in a couple of weeks barring any new injuries (#nojinx) and our rest time between games increases after the semi final next week.
West Brom apparently bid 1 for Ighalo. Makes me laugh. First Watford rejected a £35m bid for him from China... since then he's scored about 2 goals in 30 games. They also rejected a £25m bid for Deeney from Leicester. Now £17m for Ighalo.. absolutely crazy money for 2 players that are close to 30 never been prolific other than for 1 season.
in the end its not thus far like our rivals have done lots nor is it that we don't have a very clear idea of the first 11 is it? For all our faults I think availbaility is determining action.
I've said throughout that we won't buy anyone. However, if we are interested, Klopp could have been playing mind games
Liverpool and City are ‘hot candidates’ to sign Mahmoud Dahoud, according to Kicker. Dahoud’s current contract expires in June 2018.
Will be interesting to see if we will compete aggressively for a player that we actually want....if the story is actually true!
