Buying from within the division is always going to be problematic. I appreciate that the club is looking for good players and trying not to overpay out of panic, but this is exactly why clubs in our current division should be bringing through their own youngsters rather than trying to buy them from other clubs. I'm happy that James Husband is back though.
Kenny Jackett confirms in post match interview that Richard Stearman was not in today's squad after Wolves accepted a bid from Fulham!
I'm off on Tuesday and had planned to do nothing but watch would hopefully be a busy transfer deadline day, but with Ream, Husband and now maybe Stearman coming in, it maybe quieter than I thought. Will still watch it hoping for a Pacey Striker or winger ( maybe both) I'm hoping Gayle is still being looked at.
Seems done and dusted. Firm reports are that our £2m bid for their 28yr old captain has indeed been accepted. Source: http://www.expressandstar.com/sport...pt-fulham-offer-for-richard-stearman-report/? please log in to view this image
Even better Cottager is most reports are saying £1 million upfront and the second million is in add ons
Good signing. Seems Fulhamish. Time will tell. The back 4 looks solid now with husband covering for a month also.
This is a turn up! 14:04 FREDERICKS TO HAVE FULHAM MEDICAL Sky sources understand Ryan Fredericks will undergo a medical with Fulham after a deal was agreed with Bristol City. City only signed him from Tottenham 26 days ago but he has been allowed to leave for personal reasons. Fredericks was of previous interest to QPR but we understand he is now set to sign for their West London rivals Fulham.
According to Steve Cotterill they will let him go for the fee paid to Spurs, which I understand was £175k. please log in to view this image
I read earlier that we're still interested in signing Mancienne, but If reports are to be believed and we're close to signing Stearman then surely we'd drop interest in Mancienne? I wouldn't have thought we'd be signing both. That would give us like 6-7 centre backs!!
Make it 8. Danish papers are saying that we have put in a bid (along with Norwich) for FC Midtjylland defender Erik Sviatchenko. Source: http://ekstrabladet.dk/sport/fodbol...ub-lokker-sviatchenko/5707573?ref=lokalavisen Guess we’ll have to wait and see who/how many actually come in, but could herald the sale of Budorov. And likely to see Hutchinson, Burgess and even Burn going out on loan.
Bit of a late one, that Sheffield Wednesday have put in an offer of £10m for McCormack and that has sparked interest from Norwich who have put in a bid plus Gary Hooper. Far too late in the day for us to be letting vital players go. Wonder if the talk McC had with Symons about wanting to play up front alerted clubs to test the water.
Increased rumours that we are in for Watford’s out of favour striker Matej Vydra. please log in to view this image The 23yr old Czech got 16 goals for them last season and 20 the previous year. He’s still to get a game in the Premiership though and is now behind Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo in the pecking order. Can’t see Watford letting him go without a return on the £4m they paid for him.
According to L'Équipe, Fulham have informed Lyon that they will not be buying Bakary Koné for the €2m fee that was agreed. The player had been in London since the weekend, but has returned 'home'. The reason given is that we have now moved on to other targets.
With Fulham being linked with Gayle, Hooper and Vydra it appears we are after a striker most likely on loan, but I was thinking would you accept the sale of McCormack if it meant getting two of the above in permantly????? I think I would, any two of the above three would be a very strong strike force in the championship and all three are younger than Ross.
Only Fulham - "the Lyon President threatens to take Fulham to FIFA for going back on Bakary Koné transfer; Lyon believe they've sold him."
Defiantly something to think about Cookie,Gayle being my choice + a versatile full back, would not be surprised if Hull and Sunderland did not come back with an increased offer for Ross.
