Can't see him going to Wigan, he knows Harry rates him, hopefully that should swing it. Good bit of business by Chris Powell, I fancy Charlton each way to go up, they were 40/1 last week, I'll be lucky to 25s now...
Saint-Etienne's interest in Carlton Cole appears to have cooled due to the former West Ham striker's wage demands and fitness. Instead, reports in France suggest they could turn to Bolton's David Ngog. Sky Sports -Wage demands *check -Lack of fitness - Not a problem *check Like I said, Carlton Cole will be playing in Hoops come September *shiver*
Guinea international centre-back Kamil Zayatte moves to Sheffield Wednesday from Istanbul BB. The 28-year-old, who has won 37 caps for his country, can also play as a defensive midfielder. Good player. Remember him from when he played for Hull in the Premier League.

It is always good to have some cover in case someone else gets injured at a later stage ................ fingers cross, of course. Looking at our books, we can never have enough strikers.

Sunderland have accepted an undisclosed bid from Championship side Wigan for winger James McClean, according to reports. Should a deal now be done for the 24-year-old to drop down a division, it will bring to an end a colourful stay on Wearside. McClean was signed by former manager Martin O'Neill from Derry City in 2011 and made an immediate impact when thrown into the Sunderland first team. International honours soon followed, although with the Republic of Ireland rather than his native Northern Ireland. He courted controversy when he opted not to wear a poppy on his shirt during a game against Everton which fell on Remembrance weekend, while he was also involved in a number of controversies on Twitter which led to O'Neill criticising him for using the social networking site. Republic manager Giovanni Trapattoni took a liking to him, though, and selected him for Euro 2012, but new Sunderland boss Paolo Di Canio does not seem to be as big a fan and is willing to allow him to leave. The Italian has made sweeping changes at the club this summer, signing nine new players, and McClean, along with the already-departed Titus Bramble and Matthew Kilgallon, appears to be a victim of the new regime. McClean made 70 appearances for Sunderland scoring 11 goals. http://www.teamtalk.com/news/2483/8858957/Wigan-have-McClean-bid-accepted Could be an excellent Championship signing with future potential.
McLean has confirmed that he has signed for Wigan.....they are putting together a decent side showing their intent on an instant reurn to the Prem......
Is it Mc Lean or Mc Clean? Anyway, I don't really rate him. Having said that, I fully expect Wigan will be one of half a dozen main rivals for promotion this season. Wigan, Watford, Forest, Bolton, Reading and Leeds.
McClean was a rising star at Sunderland a couple of years back, he was the one who refused to wear the 'poppy shirt' on remembrance weekend and he never seemed the same player after that controversy. He'll be out to prove a point and I think this could be a really good signing for Wigan. It suggests that McManaman will probably be moving soon but if Wigan can hang on to their best players they look a cut above the rest of the division, only a fixture pile-up from the Europa League could hamper them...
When we drop points like we did today it's always easy to think its just the beginning of the season but every point will be vital come the end of the season. There might be 2 points between automatic promotion and play offs. Happy to be unbeaten but given our players we have to win games like Huddersfield.
Yes I heard it Zamora went to Mexico for his hols and made a pass at Pancho's wife and ever since then his been after him
Has anyone heard of this player.....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faouzi_Ghoulam. Apparently his agent is in advanced talks with us to sign him. Liverpool have been after him apparently.
