I just don't get the fact that we're skint, as we got good money for Redmond, which would surely have paid for Basil and Pritchard!!!!
What's happened to the 'parachute payments???'

"Dolly" was Basil D'Oliveira, an England cricketer (all rounder) from the 60's and 70's. Played alongside Boycott, Barrington, Edrich, Illingworth, Knott, Graveney, Snow, Underwood etc etc ......#showsage

Remember him well - helped spark some apartheid backlash by being included in a tour as I recall.
Just as odd (and puerile / desperate?) as calling Mbokani 'Dave' last season imo.

Yep Cromer but a bit of levity nonetheless. At least Basil D'Oliveira has some word association with Nelson Oliveira. I never understood the "Dave" link with Mbokani ?

Quite simply he was called 'Dave' because Mbokani was deemed unpronounceable in the Norfolk dialect <ok>

As an avid Hanson fan, :emoticon-0112-wonde Mmbop was always perfectly good enough for me <ok>

Could be a factor in explaining why Mbokani (not really that difficult really) is playing for Hull and not for us.

See that we have ended our "interest" in Chamakh, thankfully.

Was probably ended by him, knowing our transfer teams form.

It was actually ended by his injury at WBA.

Can I just put a bit of realism forward.
    a) When Clubs are relegated from the Premiership they have extra costs - Premiership squads on high wages etc - and decreased revenue - no Sky money etc - and that is what parachute payments are for. They are not for the purpose of unnecessary player purchases.
    b) Naismith is not a bad player and about to be sold, dropped or executed as some on here want. The stats indicate this and many outside experts quote Naismith as a main reason for suggesting that Norwich have a strong chance of promotion. I have only seen the 2 matches on Sky and in both games I thought that the interplay between Naismith and Wes was the highlight of both games.
    c) We haven't signed another striker and don't need one unless Lafferty or Morris are sold or loaned out. 4 choices for the 1 up front supported by our numerous AM options is more than adequate.
    d) Whittaker as 3rd choice option at full back and Turner as 5th choice CB are far better options than most Clubs in those roles especially as both are only on 1 year contracts.
    e) As much as we all like to see home grown talent progress Toffolo is not much of a prospect. He has had periods on loan to lower league Clubs without getting rave reviews - unlike the Murphys and Maddison - and he has not impressed in his under23 games. His latest loan spell away is probably make or break unlike Maddison who is just getting game time at a decent level because his chances of game time here are fairly limited especially with the availability of Pritchard.
    f) A real blow to finish. The Chip Inn at Long Stratton is unofficially up for sale. The ownership position is a bit complicated but Chris, who is the main owner and does most of the frying, wants to sell up and retire.

If the officials didn't see the actual incident, they couldn't fail to have spotted the bloody lip and facial swelling?
To book the recipient of a GBH assault is just ****ing inexcusable <grr>
