We obviously thought defoe would go through. I'm not sure where all these top strikers are supposed to come from. Best we could have done would have been defoe imo and I reckon we'll get him in January. Excellent window for us. We now have 3 number 10s and a quality holding midfielder in Sandro who I see sitting behind Barton and fer for the most part. Add to that game changers like a fit nico and adel and we look pretty good to me.
A lot of positives from business made by the club. When you see the list of players leaving at the end of last season it was a huge task to bring in new players. Yes, a couple of gaps (RB /Fwd) but we will have to cover that for 3 months until Jan (when the Defoe deal may come back). Traore rejecting a move was a statement from the player, will be interesting to see a positive reaction from him. Adel is here - big question will be to see if he knuckles down and does his job or has a big sulk. I like that we added a couple of youth players (Robinson and McCarthy). This should be an annual commitment to sign two young prospects. My favourite signing? Probably Sandro. Looks like he can be our perfect DM and showed tremendous passion in his interview. Sounds like he will be a fan favourite with his attitude, skill and commitment. Well done to Harry and the Board for the hard work put in this Summer. Now on to the football! COYR's
Great, thats' Charlie, Austin, Bobby & Zamora I take it ................... sounds like a plan, thanks! Really wished we'd got Defoe. Need him now to get us on the front foot .................... not Xmas if we are struggling and having to play catch up. Oh well, I guess I should be thankful for what's on the plate.
Good business throughout the window in my opinion. Only downside is the lack of an incoming striker, I know it wasn't for the lack of trying, I just hope it doesn't come back to bite us in the arse.
These pics are brilliant, LR really does seem a happy place these days. Behind the scenes on deadline day.http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/020914-deadline-day-behind-the-scenes-photo-gallery-1893170.aspx#zPEUAxa4cQXf21mh.01
