First half he was absolutely fantastic. Died off a bit the second, Anita was magnificent as well. Great team performance which merited a better response from the crowd.
Thought Diane played his best game for us and Gayle was irresistible but man of the match was Jonjo. He ran it from start to finish. His movement both before getting the ball and whilst on it were top class. For me the best player in the division by the proverbial mile.
Also, just remembered, the light show in the second half which I took to be for Bradley Lowery. Thought it was a fantastic gesture for a very brave young boy.
Ah yes, the phone lights on about 50 minutes.... Started up in the Level 7 corner. Lots of people around the ground joined in including 'The Corner' who sang "what the **** is going on?". It looked pretty cool tbh. I was thinking that it must be another tribute for someone or something and I was having visions of our games being just 90 minutes of applause, singing and other gestures in about 10 years time. People STILL clapping on 17 mins FFS.
I've been pondering that very question ever since reading this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/earth/story/20160901-we-might-live-in-a-computer-program-but-it-may-not-matter
yep..its waay past its sell by date ..as someone pointed out on a thread ..in a few years the entire 90 minutes will be taken up with ...these sorts of acts.. respect has been paid ..need to let it lie now
Very very comfortable. Good time to hit form with games coming thick and fast. Have a good Xmas period and by the New Year you can be well clear. I spoke to a floorlayer I know who was sponsoring Gayle for this game. They reckon he was absolutely spot on and a cracking lad before the game. Very down to earth. The guy who owns the company likes a bet, is older and cracking bloke. He grabbed a hold of Gayle before he did off and said "Listen you little ****er, you better score a hat trick today because I've bet on you" He must have been quids in. First time Diame has made a proper impact for me.
