That entire thread is brilliant! From the toon fan one at the start to the "women in tech" one!! Haven't managed to read them all!!
Don't waste your time. It's full of thick bastards who voice their worthless opinions on everything. Same as Facebook really
Nowt like facebook imo, facebook you go by your own name, network with people you know. Twitter is the wild west of the internet. But for every ****er there's somebody who'll blow your mind. Twitter is mostly anonymous I've noticed. Not a big fan of facebook, it's every bodies town online and they're all up in each others ****. Twitter is nothing like that imo.
Pointless explaining to some people! I tried explaining to my Dad about it and he's much the same - the systems are the downfall of society to him man!! I like Facebook to keep in touch with far flung family members (have family in Austrailia and down in London I rarely get to see) and I like the randomness of twitter and the anonymity too.
None of my family are on my facebook you know? Only just gone back on it. I've got 36 friends on there and it won't be getting much bigger this time, eventually gave in as I had no real way of keeping in touch with my friends abroad.
Steve McLaren said to the toon bloke on Newcastle radio, why man yer dinna naw wat yer tarking aboot lad, get ya facts reet wor's tried to dee me best when a wass in charge of the toon ya bugger. I am worried about that Korean leader at the minute lads, the **** will hit the fan if he launches them missiles and if one lands in China, Christ it will be world war 3.
As a platform they are different. However they are used exactly the same. I remember when you had to have a university email address to be able to use Facebook. It was much better back then
