And Mr Lansdown via Pula (his company) is the majority shareholder.

So what your saying is the funds are being directed offshore, or somewhere to save tax then being redistributed back here to pay the salaries in a more tax efficient way.

By having one organisation to oversee aspects of Bristol City and the rugby resource is saved by not needlessly replicating what they do. The same people are doing multiple roles for each associated sport. Costs are shared, salaries halved - Some are obviously performance related. Tax is reduced. The organisation thus is more efficient.

Fully understand but the menial positions are not where the big money will be saved surely.

They are not menial positions. Some of the roles will involve accounts of millions. New income must be generated which is why individuals expertise is not football related e.g. hotels and catering.

My take was- i would prefer a top manager, managing the football team, then having all the suites being paid for by the football, and Rugby, and not producing results on the pitch.
Bristol Rugby have invested in a top coach, why not the football team.

SL is giving LJ the backing once again, with a few more signings costing more millions, let's hope they can offer better value, than the ones he invested in earlier in the season.

I call it his last throw of the dice,if this does not turn it around he will be long gone by mid feb 20017.

What has a manager of a team got to do with people making sure maintenance is done, tickets sold, food ordered cooked and sold? the football club would still have to pay people to do this.

We don't need a business consortium to generate and maintain a Premiership football team. What this club needs is Bill Shankly/Brian Clough/Don Revie i.e. a man who can grow a mighty oak from a sunflower seed.
Because that is the level of miracle we are asking for

But those kind of people are very rare, and when you get one it is imperative that they have resources and freedom to act even if it does piss people off. And as we all know here in BS3, that is never going to happen
