I've never understood why it is that a succession of England managers select players on the basis of their form for their clubs, playing a certain role in a certain system, then play them completely out of position in an alien system. I appreciate that players have to learn to adapt to different ways of playing, but surely you have to put a formation out that plays to the strengths of the players.

 

He's looked better of late. I'm not convinced kane should play in this formation.
I really hope Roy isn't playing people out of position just to please Rooney.
He can play behind kane. It ain't rocket science.
