Sorry guys, couldn't help myself. For our next trip, we take the difficult trip to Hillsborough to face Sheffield Wednesday. Something of a weird fixture this, my gf being an owl, her parents season tickets and the four of us going to the game. With her folks being there I won't be offered their tickets for free this year, so we'll be in separate sections of the ground. Meeting up with a few of the lads from the South West supporters club prior to the match so that'll be fun if nothing else. If anyone off here is going and fancies a pre game pint gimme a shout. We can meet. It's also my last game before moving to Australia for a year, so I'm excited to go for a change. As for the game, tough ask. I'm convinced they'll end up top 6. However, this is a fixture we do well in as opposed to Reading away or our Watford curse. Think we've lost 1 in the last 13 vs the owls. We do have players coming back fitter now too. McGoldrick will have massively benefited from playing 90 last time out. 1-1. Heard it here first
I have a good feeling about this one too - we're due a bit of luck, and Mick always pulls something out the bag when the chips are down. I know everyone constantly moans when both Skuse and Dougie play, but in certain games, you do need a couple of no frills players, andf I wouldn't be adverse to the two of them starting (definitely in place of Bru who I'm rapidly going off) I think it'll be an uninspiring, hard fought 1-0 win, a pen from McG
Nah, I'm liking the positivity in this thread. I'm sure there'll be a turn around in fortunes sooner or later. Moaning about our team every week is getting boring. It is what it is. I reckon 2-2 for this one.
Ever the optimist, a surprising, uplifting, game-changing 2-1 away win! McG & Freddie. Our season picks up at last...we go on a run of sorts.
I used to be really pissed off at 5pm on a Saturday if Town had got a bad result. Now it's just a shrug and MEH!
From what I can tell, you're probably not going to enjoy the future very much then as it seems Mick has full backing from his players and the owner. Can't see there being any change unless we do end up in a relegation scrap past Christmas.
