Welcome on board Roscafre, a few of us are on here most days so look forward to hearing your views and opinions COYW..
Nice one Roscafre. Without sounding biased the Fulham members on this board are probably the best on the whole board. Fair, truthful and a wide range of ages too. Welcome.
Sorry to disappoint you bandit mat, allthough i'm not as active as you, will rectify this over the summer, I'm still only 17 :L
Not to rub it in but I'm also younger than you bandit at 20, though not as young as gilly or welshconnection admittedly so I can't be gloating too much!
I'm 43, but I'm regularly told that I have a mental age of about 7. Does that count? Oh yes, and I forgot to add, welcome to the site Roscafre. Nice to have you here.
Fair point Gilly, but if you're not all careful, I'll get my 4-year-old to register. That will blow everybody else out of the water. He'll probably talk more sense than me as well.
Oldest at 50? I'm now 62, and I think I may be a bit older than Tosh. However, there is no question that rf is the senior correspondent, I believe he first went to the Cottage not long after the war - he's talked about his first game. Mine was 31st January 1959, I was just 10. Fulham 1 Bristol Rovers 0, Roy Bentley the scorer.
I think my first game was at Ninian Park when Fulham took on Cardiff City. Can't remember the year due to my age, but Peter Beardsley was on the pitch.
OLDEST ME ? i am sure that Rocky is right, first game in august 1949 as an 8yr old, well almost.all the young lads were lifted over the perimeter fence and could sit about 1yrd back from the touchline, the only time we had to move was when a corner was taken. Where I sit, immediately in front of me sits, one who could be Fulhams oldest,85 in august. And recalls matches he watched pre war.never paid he says had no money but gained access into the ground via a tree,in Bishops Park adj: to perrimiter fence
My first game was 2 January 1970 against Leyton Orient - a 1-1 draw. We were in the old Division 3 at the time. I was not quite 9 years old. My Dad had a season ticket and we went into the Putney End, I think.
