It's a fair point about the players being better individually than they are collectively. It's up to the manager to get the best from what he's got available and Trollope has serially failed to do that, but it's not just him to blame. Not adding pace to the squad is clearly a major acquisition failure by the club itself. Lambert apart, the imports up front have been a disaster so far. However, I doubt Trollope had that much say in it, but whoever was responsible for importing Zohore, Gounongbe and Saadi to spearhead our attack have a lot to answer for. Since then, the signing of Richards and Huws smacks of "Welsh" bias rather than logical thinking about what we really need in the squad. On the other hand I mentioned on here a few weeks back that a number of established players need to step up their performances themselves - they can't all blame their poor on-pitch decision making and poor form on Trollope. Some are not performing anything like they did last season. Ralls, Connolly and Immers are a shadow of the standard they set last year. Thank God O'Keefe is back. At least he has an attitude on the pitch if not the fine skills necessary to make him a great player at this level. The fact is the whole setup is lacking in pace and quality. Although it's probably not all his fault, the easiest option is to change one manager rather than a dozen players. However harsh that might seem on Trollope, the board need to act on that right now, but any new guy who comes in also needs a right sort out of the players.
Can't change players until January unless we pick up some odd bod unattached. . What can be changed from our rudderless ship is the manager. Villa and Swansea have done it today and their positions are not as dire as ours. Dalmatian and Choose, pull out you collective fingers NOW and give us a chance of staying up.
He must have had influence in getting Jazz Richards at least, however if he did acquisition this signing, he should be sacked just for that. As Jazz Richards would not get into Aberbargoed Buds 3rd side.
He obviously had a huge influence on both Richards and Huws coming here - both probably based on the ridiculous "Welsh" ethic aparently trolled out by Tan. It's the front men I questioned. Saadi, Zahore and Gounongbe were probably all set up by the Tan/Belgian connection and have proved a calamity. No pace acquired up front and the one guy we have with it, Harris, is left out in the cold by Trollope until he's virtually forced to bring him on as a sub rather than start him.
I cannot see, any of the Belgian signings, Saadi, Fred or Zahore getting any gametime after January. I also think that both Richards and Huws will languish in the reserves for the forseeable future. Will be interesting to see what happens in January, especially if Colin turns things around and we are in touching distance of the top 6, exciting times ahead i think.
Anagram of Neil Warnock. If you make up the first name as "Colin", you can then "toss" the remaining letters in any way you want to get a surname...........
Taking the whatsit out of Sheepy? Not a good idea when he runs the prediction league. I told 'em Sheepy.
