Oasis considered a one hit wonder in the US. Nothing besides Wonderbra did any good over here. God that song is awful. I think it was played so much at the time that everyone learned to hate Oasis. I couldt name another song of theirs and really don't care to. 90's in general just seemed extremely bland to me. Plus I can't stand "90's voice" all that heavy breathing labouring over trying to sing.
I feel sorry for you then mate. Nearly every song they released was cracking and better than Wonderwall FFS
I dunno about you lot but the 80s invented now 1 and that ****e has been going on ever since. I distinctly remember owning now 5 on a tape oh and wacko jacko wasn't great was it.. 80s icon maxima. My wife loved culture club.. another embarrassing story. My blue nose mate at school used to like fine young cannibals... also ****e. The 80s were a bad time of bad hair, shoulder pads and bad make up.... and perms we all know about the perms eh lads.
so you are a blur man then..... this is like the us elections you are one side or the other, no third party candidates possible.
yeh i'm an art school poseur with a sexuality crisis blur had some good moments but also some terrible ones too but at least they have always managed to make good music throughout their career
Na....it identifies the decade...who wants to grow up in a bland decade with normal unremarkable clothes and hairstyles... All the silliness and ascendancy of pop culture etc was due to the music video. Can bet there will be no urge to make movies etc about the 90's as a cultural event... Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the 90's but it's not going to be remembered as one of "those" decades...unlike the 20's 60's and 80's
I distinctly rememebr a lad at work showing me his all denim suit pic form the 1970s with flares and his mutton side chops. so.... yeah... I'd do with out it thanks. I know that it got a bit better in the 90s but in the 00s it was white socks with tracksuit bottoms tucked in or laterally yank trousers round their arses stuff. or the chav look. please log in to view this image basically grimsby.... thats the 1990s please log in to view this image
Anyone going to see Split? Thinking of seeing it at weekend and heard it's brilliant from one person.
