My opinion also. Its our final home game. Take the piss you gormless ****s. Dont make it a 'my dads bigger than yours' episode.
Nowhere near a decent piss take about our plight. We are no more united about cancer than we were about the flight where the two NUFC fans were killed. Keep it to football or unfriendly rivalry but nothing else..
Well I don't know what to think about it. Taking the piss out of SAFC is no problem to me, we dished it out, we tack it back. I don't know about this cancer message though, not sure. Although I do not think there is any malice intended.
For me it is the insensitivity of claiming that our two clubs are joined by the tragedy of a little one who may be too ill to get to the game. They are over the moon that we are down, but that alleged compassionate piss take is the work of schoolchildren - or Donald Trump.
I see no issue with it at all, simply having a pop at our change in the guard, but recognising that we are unified in tragedy
I lost my mum to cancer when I was a nipper. I see it as a good gesture. No more no less. It could have been worse. So fair play. And it was voted on by Mags fans.
What does that mean? I think (hope) the message, like the majority of black and whites who chose this, mean to say cancer is more important than us?
But the banner is not about cancer in general it is about the funding for treatment of young Bradley who is not in a good state at the minute. For all their fans have contributed to his treatment fund then they could at least remove the cancer word and put his name instead.
I thought your banner last year was cringe-worthy and I'm no keener on ours. I don't think uniting it with the message on cancer makes it worse but I do think it would have been better if the message had just been a "united by Bradley" one.
My understanding of what I read earlier this week was that it was about both clubs recognising the suffering of young children suffering from cancer. I haven't read anything else this week to suggest that it would be otherwise. I may be wrong, but if it hasn't changed from what I previously read, then we'll done the Mags.!
I am all for people against cancer in all forms but the NUFC fans have been very vociferous in their support of Bradley and even sang about him, possibly because we did much the same about the MH17 lads. He was due to lead the team out today but may not be well enough, if he does make it then I see the banner is all the more insensitive.
I'm sorry mate. I don't know what banner you've seen that you're talking about. I'm only referencing the one I saw earlier this week. I took that in good faith. If there's another I can't comment. If there isn't, then I think your sense of indignancy is misplaced. Just my opinion though. And like I said, if they've changed the banner Id read about earlier, you may have reason to believe so. If not, I think you're wrong. But it's Friday night mate and I'm drunk so best wishes anyway.
I am only going by the one posted on hear about our clubs being United by Cancer but divided by leagues. Enjoy your beers.
It is my very honest opinion that there is no way the Newcastle lads would use a sick bairn for their advantage. No way at all. I think this was all very well intentioned, maybe a tad misplaced but still well meant. Some of you might hate the mags but they're no different to us. They just wear different colour stripes.
Why would that have been better? It's for others too, not just Bradley. Two other kids - Hope Feeney and Frankie Sherwood are their names. Why can't you just look that up? It took me 30 seconds.

I think it's pretty cool that they're nodding to Bradley and his situation but it's an exercise in stupidity. Just point and laugh like we did, don't water down both messages by mixing them.
