http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...parting-john-terry-greatest-defender-premier/ FL calls JT the greatest defender in PL history. I would have to agree. Maybe not the best but the greatest. 1 JT 2 JC 3 Rio 4 Sol 5 Adams 6 Stam 7 Vidic 8 Keown 9 Pally 10 Ledley
Not sure about Keown being on the list. Steve Bruce was better then Keown! Neither was England captain mind. It does seem to be crucial that they be England captain to be the very best of centre halves.
Best of the bunch is Jaap Stam. Colossal defender that Ferguson sold too soon and even admits it, which is rare.
Jesus saves by buying in bulk. Best Defenders: 1) Carragher 2) Hyypia 3) Agger 4) Skrtel 5) Matip 6) Sakho 7) Toure 8) Jesus 9) Buddha 10) Ahura Mazda
Robert Huth - EPL titles with two different teams - only one of all those mentioned to have done that
Individually I think it's hard to argue against Terry. Vidic and Rio were without a doubt the best partnership. Wes Brown would have been up there for sure if he wasn't made of straw, technically he was probably one of the best I've ever seen.
