By that picture he looks sad to be leaving the Premier League.

Strange thing though, I can't remember seeing any pictures showing him being sad at leaving Swansea.

 

Neither were we

 

So what we are saying is that Shelvey would rather play for a team who might play in the Fizzy Pop League next season than for a foreign team in the Premier League.

Probably he was smiling because when he left us he was going to another PL club who were giving him a pay rise ....... plus he knew that the Swansea coaches, players and fans had sussed him out - as you will, or may have already.

 

We're gutted he left.
There's been no more fights with players in the car park.
There's been no more bust ups with fans.
We've moved several positions up the table.
We've reached 40 points.
We've got a £100 million pay cheque for next season
Gylfi Sigurddson has scored 9 goals from midfield in 2016
...........and we've got 12 million Toon pounds in the bank for a player we paid 5 million quid for

..............but he'll probably score the winner next week and he'll be ready for the Euros again.
