Please not a fan consortium. Look at Twitter, most of us are morons . Speaking of which, This is an opinion, not a forced point. I'd better make myself clear on his threads.
I know what'd be great, a consortium of people who know **** all about football taking over an owner who knows **** all about football. Brilliant
Or an like an American owner who knows **** all about football; employing people who also know **** all about football??
A group of Sunderland fans have been linked with a move to buy Sunderland AFC from Ellis Short. The consortium, headed up by members of successful TV production company Fulwell73, are reported to be ready to rival any offer made for the club by other interested parties. But who are the men behind the bid? - Fulwell 73 are a production company who have risen to prominence with a number of hugely successful shows and films. - They were behind the well received ‘Class of 92’ film, documenting the rise of Manchester United’s golden generation, as well as the The Late, Late Show with James Corden. - Corden became the fifth partner in January this year. - The three partners in the company linked with the move are Leo Pearlman, Gabe Turner and Ben Turner, are fanatical and lifelong Sunderland fans. - The company takes its name from the Fulwell End at Roker Park, where the trio watched Sunderland during their childhood. 73 relates to the year of the famous FA Cup win - Their London office has a number of rooms named after Sunderland icons such as Niall Quinn and Julio Arca. - It is not yet clear who else is backing the rumoured bid, which would require substantial further funding to reach Ellis Short’s asking price. However, former England defender Tony Adams and ex-Chelsea chief executive Paul Smith have also been linked with the consortium
I think it'd be a car crash personally. Too much (potential) heart ruling head - that's away from the fact they're TV producers and have Tony Adams in mind to head it up - he was a ****ing disaster over in Spain and didn't exactly do anything to note after he retired.
Wrong my friend, I have it on good authority that after 24 bottles of San Miguel, he could still balance the 25th on his snozz. I know it is hardly anything to note but he proved his fekkin nose is still the envy of all donkeys..
It was tongue in cheek mate. Cause it's likely to be the sort of buyer short will sell too and prolong our hell.
Fan-led Tony Adams bid: New Sunderland takeover talk - it's not first time he's tried to buy a club Reports this afternoon have suggested a supporter-led consortium featuring TV executives from production company Fulwell73 are preparing a bid to buy Sunderland. Arsenal legend Tony Adams and a former Chelsea director are also said to be involved with the group. by James Henchard@MrHenchard Jun 19, 2017, 3:50pm BST TWEET SHARE PIN REC please log in to view this image Photo by Clive Mason/Getty Images According to a report in the Independent, a trio of executives behind Wearside production company Fulwell73 are preparing to bid for Sunderland AFC and rival a German-led consortium for the relegated club. The claims suggest that Sunderland-supporting brothers Gabe and Ben Turner who are behind the TV company, plus co-owner Leo Pearlman, have acquired support from former Arsenal defender Tony Adams and ex-Chelsea director Paul Smith. please log in to view this image Paul Smith during his time at Chelsea in 2007 Photo by Christian Petersen/Getty Images The report claims Adams - who is currently sporting director at relegated Spanish side Granada - has been offered a role in the new set-up. And it's perhaps his involvement which has brought the most initial scepticism from Sunderland supporters upon the news breaking this afternoon. The ex-England captain and his associate Smith have been seeking to buy a football club for some time and appear to have teamed up with the Fulwell73 team in spearheading an attempt to launch a bid for Sunderland. Adams and Smith got close to buying Aston Villa in 2015 and led a proposed £150m takeover of the midlands club making an offer to then-owner Randy Lerner. Reports at the time suggested the pair had been working on the bid for over a year, seeking investors to back their plans. Adams was said to be involved in the project with the brief of 'working on football matters'. In the end, Chinese businessman Tony Xia was successful in buying Villa in a £76m deal after the club were relegated in 2016. Adams and Smith are also said to have been actively seeking to buy shares in clubs in Belgium, Italy and Portugal in recent times. The career of Tony Adams needs little introduction, making over 500 appearances for Arsenal and with over 60 England caps to his name. Since retiring from playing, the 50-year-old has had uninspiring stints as manager at Wycombe Wanderers, Portsmouth and Azerbaijan side Gabala before signing up with Granada in April. please log in to view this image Tony Adams during his days as an Arsenal player - pictured here at the Stadium of Light Smith has a long background in the sports media business and was appointed by Roman Abramovich when he bought Chelsea in 2003 before being appointed as chief executive at Stamford Bridge later that year. Departing Chelsea in 2007, Smith won a case of unfair dismissal against his former employers before losing a follow-up claim. But it's the involvement of the Fulwell73 Sunderland supporting trio which will attract the headlines and intrigue fans on Wearside this afternoon. Whether the group have the necessary funds to compete with the other rumoured bidders remains to be seen and they may have acted swiftly after seeing reports that rival groups have opened the bidding for Sunderland at a cut-price £50m.
If Tony Adams was successful I'd seriously think about not bothering going next year. That's how bad I think this is.
I remember Fulwell73 for the film Piggy. Want **** all to do with that fat arsehole James Corden or Tony ****ing Adams.
This is just getting worse and worse..... A living nightmare! We are a laughing stock on social media and rightly so!
Potential managers are being vilified on social media before they've even been interviewed and now a potential owner is being vilified before we know the full facts of their offer. We're so ready to rush to judgement these days.
Is that a fact? You really want that fat unfunny slug Corden as part of it? I'd rather have Fred Talbot.
