The stuff to do at home will be there until you do it, the match at Leicester is a once only per season! QED
Morning all, sun shining on the raindrops as they fall. They did forecast a few showers this morning but none for this afternoon. If it must rain I will be quite happy for it to do it this morning while I am in my French lesson, but the ground is now very wet and needs to dry out before some of the things I want to do are possible.
Morning all and thanks to AK for setting up the third version of the nest London's gearing up for the tube strike. I'm not without sympathy for anyone who is likely to lose their job and actually don't hugely mind them going on strike as it's the only way to be heard but that support is tempered by the facts that a) the station staff continually turn a blind eye to adults using children's tickets which surely raises the prices for those of us paying in excess of £1500 a year to use the system and b) they're happy to be led by the mutant that is Bob Crowe
Although, on the whole, we tend to be quite a pessimistic bunch on here, I think we should manage to stay up so we're very much looking forward to welcoming you back to Vicarage road next season
More seriously - whilst currently it's going great .. not just the results but some of the football we're playing (Derby at home was particularly good) ... I've been supporting them man and boy since 1969 and am taking absolutely nothing for granted ... we are certainly capable of snatching disappointment from the jaws of achivement ...
Well, well, well! I came out of the dentist to discover I have a new Grandchild, that's four now and they are all girls! please log in to view this image
Cheers FF, I just hope I die before they get married, they can fight over the insurance money then! Only kidding, I'm not insured!
That's it, lesson over for another week. Just the homework to fit in before I forget all about it. My eldest daughter has her birthday today, and after the grand daughters finish school they will all be coming round for a birthday tea. Birthday cake, jelly and ice cream, lovely! Two years ago when one grandchild had a birthday party, it was discovered that French children do not like jelly, but most of them can sing Happy Birthday in English.
