    Good Morning Everyone,

Just when we thought the Bridcutt deal was dead....

@joerawson do we assume the Bridcutt deal is dead and Cellino has found another target?

@EllandBack1 no the Bridcutt deal is very much alive but it's taking a while to get over the line.

What do we make of that?

Alex Mowatt's representatives have been in talks with Ben Mansford regarding a new contract.

Just like Charlie Taylor, Mowatt's contract expires next Summer.

They are due to meet again soon.

Mansford also confirmed that Charlie Taylor did not want to renew his contract at this stage.

    Thoughts?

Staying with our Chief executive, Ben Mansford doesn`t expect the club to sell 15,000 season tickets before the end of the month.

The club have offered a refund to fans who purchase a season ticket this summer if the club fail to reach the play-off places next season.

All fans that purchased a season ticket would be entitled to a 25% refund on the season ticket price and those that purchased their season ticket before the end of May would be entitled to a 50% refund if the club sold 15,000 season tickets.

Mansford says the club have now sold over 14,000 but it doesn`t look like they will sell 15,000 at the current selling rate before the cut-off date at the end of this month.

Mansford told BBC Radio Leeds, "We are now over 14,000."

"We were looking, if we could, to get to 15,000 before the end of the month. It would be a wonderful number if we could and we have agreed to repay a greater percentage.

"If we get there, we get there, but we are now slowing to a good number a day but not a number that will get us to over 15,000 but time will tell.

Morning all, add Bridcutt to the current set up or don't and midtable would be my expectation. I can see a lot of refunds being offered next season.

Morning ristac, only 10 days or so away from the first game of the season. We can expect a couple of additions. I think we will be an all round stronger unit than last season.. I can see us mounting a play off push, but so much will depend on these two new signings....

Mornin all. No panic, lots of teams havent finished their rebuilding yet so were not alone. 14k must be the highest number of season tickets in many seasons

Birdcutt isnt special and would he add to the first team now? he did at times last season and Evans said he was by far the best player in the league? I think we need better and he aint worth the money or the wages he wants.

Top strikers cost £8m in the UK and we aint paying that, so we have to hope Roofe, Sako and Antonnson can surprise and do the business, or we buy abroad and he works out. We still need a top midfield player someone capable of captaincy and be looked up. We need a CB and defender and they too need to be better than we have, but I cant see it happening without cash or investment.

Grimes in an interview about Monk said this: The gaffer is great and has the lads doing what he expects and they enjoy it. Gaffer had to change a few things as this league is different to what he's used to. What do you reckon that was - put your own cones out, buy cheap vests, improvise with equipment?

Morning Essex, indeed we do. We should have a team like Barcalona that being the case! :emoticon-0104-surpr

Yes I do as long as he stays fit and some of the chances that are hitting the woodwork fly in. I think he's a confidence player and needs supply, support and the crowd behind him. He has always gone full tilt and then dropped off, but he looks leaner and stronger and seems happy. I think 22 goals from him this season will see him elevated to JB standing

I am hoping to see a good passing game and more threat up front, but I am less confident in the defence. We will have to wait and see but I think we have a good coach.

Apparently he had a bit of trouble on the training pitch with the new boy Antonsson. He gave him the ball and some simple instructions and Antonsson set off.
First he took the ball round Sol Bamba with ease.
    Then nutmegged Roofe
took it round Bartley again with ease.
Then put donkey Doukora on his arse.
Kept on going and whipped the ball passed the clueless Diagoura.
Then swivelled and strolled passed the bewildered Sacko.
Finally he chipped it over Botaka.

Monk shouted out "Very good Marcus, but i told you to dribble it around the "cones" you thick cnut!!

    <whistle>
