We were set up to play on the counter, let them have the ball - 76% possession over 90mins and we kept them to 6 six shots on target - seems like it worked.

These things are called Tactics Freddie boy - maybe you should try explaining this to your club's manager - he seems to think tactics are those little mint and fruit flavoured sweets that come in a plastic box and rattle...

I refuse to believe that Newcastle supporters are happy with the manner of a lot of the wins this season , to be honest they have not performed as well as even I thought they would

 

That must have changed from a few seasons ago when Newcastle outplayed Sunderland and Sunderland won, then it was not called tactics it was given another name

Tactics is like it was in your last game when the ball hit two Newcastle players then went in the net, that must have taken Rafa weeks to perfect

Huddersfield didn't outplayed us though, they just had more possession, this is a rather different scenario to when we outplayed Sunderland and they had to rely on an incompetent ref, having an unfair one man advantage and playing a paedo.

Anyway, zzzzzzzzz, enough of the bore.

Wagner is somewhat deluded if he thinks they should have won, 76 percent possession is meaningless unless you do something with it, Darlow was hardly making wonder saves all night. And as for the shot count, there were God knows how many times they ballooned it over the bar from decent positions, so once again a misleading stat.

 

I agree apart from last bit. We are not talking wholesale changes and I couldn't blame an individual - we just need some subtle tweaks in how we approach the games tactically. I said early in the season not to worry Rafa was saavy enough to spot what we were doing wrong and change it, I hold my hands up I was wrong, he has just ploughed on making the same mistake over and over.

Thankfully away he has been tactically brilliant.
