I don't think it's beyond the bounds of possibility. You just need to look at the career of former Chelsea Loanee Patrick Bamford to see where it can all go wrong. Tammy will know that there is no risk in coming to us. He will play games he knows he can score for us and he knows the fans love him
What more can a young player want? Time alone will tell if this lad means what he says and the thought of him staying is tasty to say the least but I won't hold my breath. He is probably being well scouted by other teams and the right offer for all concerned would see him disappear in to the distance without a trace.
It was LJ who persuaded him to come to us in the first place. If he could persuade him to give us one more season that would be a real coup!!!! Can't see it happening tbh. Would love it though.
This would be a major coup. If Johnson can put that on the table, that would do his rep a world of good.
Goodness me.....now we know what you think about in your spare time. Pretty sure Lizzy would not appreciate it....
Perhaps the Duke has retired from full-time royal duties because the Queen want's him to find out who's messing up her handbag.
I think he'll be in the Premiership next season, probably on loan to some club like Brighton, but possibly even as an understudy at Chelsea. If he goes to another club in the Championship, it'd be a bit of a kick in the teeth, even if it were to one at the top of the table.
I think if Chelsea want to keep Tammy, and i'm sure they do, would they want him to go to another Premiership club, maybe not, would they like him to have another season in the Championship, maybe, who better than the team he's just had a season long loan at, far fetched, maybe, but stranger things have happened, so come on LJ shock us all.
If Lee and his cohorts convince Tammy to stay another season then they would go up the ladder in my books but I believe it will prove a very difficult task. I don't think we can focus our attention strictly on his return because there are many other hurdles to jump first but I would love him back, and so far I haven't seen any attitude problems with him. He really does appear to be the full meal deal however I think there may be another agenda for his future and not necessarily at Ashton Gate.
I would be delighted if we could get him to stay, but there is probably more chance me getting a ballot place in the London Marathon next year ( odds are about 1 in 20). We were rumoured to be paying his wages of £25,000 a week which Chelsea were reporting to have doubled. Would be worth every penny. (About 2.5 m over the season)
Must admit I never understand why a club would loan out a player in the same league as themselves, baffles the hell out of me.. if I were Chelsea's manger, either I would keep him at the club and use him or loan him outside of the premiership.. Should stay with us where he will be loved and looked after!!
