They could be relegated to the championship if they lose to Bournemouth today, I hope it happens, I want them to go down as well, I'll never forgive that tinpot club when they did the poznan in 2012, I'll celebrate if they get relegated.

Actually I'm with Matt on this. At the time I thought it was a twatfish thing to do given we have no real connection to Sunderland other than selling them our broken, **** and geriatric players.

Everyone has their own reason for disliking United. Mine is you being allowed to play on all night if necessary until you equalised at Loftus Road before the days of the crowd knowing how much injury time there would be. Cantona scored at about 5pm. We got relegated.

Tbf most neutrals at that time would have wanted Man City to win the title that season as they hadn't won it previously so it is football fans goading other fans, happens all the time.
Personally I won't be sad to see Sunderland go down as they've been fortunate with it for years and it just isn't sustainable. It'll probably benefit them long term to get out the rut

 

Given that I'm not a neutral and it was City who won the league, I'm not inclined to celebrate the idea that it was just "football fans goading other fans"!

Equally, I doubt the Sunderland fans will brush off the fact that I won't mourn their relegation.

 

Yeah I get that. I wouldn't expect you to think any differently. I have got the impression from what I've seen from them that a number of Sunderland fans are odd bitter people so it doesn't surprise me. As I say, its more the fact they just deserve to go down for on the pitch matters for me

Sunderland deserve to go down this season they've been hanging around like a turd that won't flush for about 5 years.
