On balance, Boro. They've played some ****ing boring football! Sunderland are just ****e. With a ****e manager too.
Boro for me..they are dire, stale, grey and depressing, it's like watching a game of football on the ****test stream available, lagging, pixelated and in a foreign language.
I don't especially dislike either but both play terrible football and it would be better if another team in the league below were given a chance instead. This is why I picked Sunderland. Too many years scraping by. Their owner need to cough or settle for being a Championship club. I'm also not that keen on David Moyes.
I went along with a mate who had a spare ticket for Watford v Sunderland, about six rows behind the away dugout. Moyes looked completely baffled as to what he was meant to be doing and wore a cardigan and tie throughout despite it being about 23 degrees. Probably time to retire.
I'll do a little Poznan dance on the last day at Old Trafford just for Sunderland as they finally **** off back to their level. Oh, how we'll all laugh.
Sunderland have been hanging on by the skin of their teeth for years, and a lack of investment and some poor buys have finally caught up with them. They deserve to go down tbh. Boro had a solid side but Negredo has been a huge flop and they've therefore not been able to score the goals needed at this level.
I like Sunderland because, a) Everyone I have ever met from there is an absolute mental case. b) We beat them 8-0 at St Mary's a couple of seasons back. Only two of those were own goals, and even Jack Cork scored. c) Shane Long scored two against them at the SoL.
