Was just reading that on Twitter. As always, what another total waste of time and money. Another "youth prospect" off on a free. He'll be signed by Bristol City next season for about 2M.
Yep. Could have potentially been a nice little earner. Not at Norwich City. At least we are hopefully getting rid, anyway.
Hmmm.... Not sure.... Maybe worth a punt if it's a free. Might be the kind of hungry British player Lambert/McNally might have bought in. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/...norwich-city-favourites-sign-cardiff-13047128
Rotherham are looking for a loan, not a permanent deal, and the sources for that rumour are pretty dubious.
They also want / expect Norwich to pay a fair chunk of his wages, from what I read yesterday. The words 'off' and 'bog' spring rapidly to my mind
Given the new emphasis on a smaller, lower cost squad I would think that Rudd, McGovern and Jones (or Matthews) are pretty much in line with that. I can't see the comments about him being on high wages. He came to us from Hamilton and should be on reasonable Championship wages. I can see high earners like Naismith and Jarvis leaving if a suitable buyer can be found, but we'd have to spend money to replace McGovern when we should be concentrating on strengthening the defense as a priority. Rudd and McGovern can do a good job if they've got good defenders in front of them.
Oh dear God, please let this be true? https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/s...aid-on-norwich-to-sign-international-forward/
So far it's just a blog rumour, Cromer. It says that money is tight at Sunderland and if they couldn't afford him when they were in the PL, I can't see them affording him now. It could happen, but I don't think it will. They'd probably want him for next to nothing and for us to pay half his wages as well. More likely that a newly promoted team could go for him.
Hearing SOOOOO much about Howson to Leeds that I am beginning to get worried!!!! If he leaves do we express our disgust to Webber or do we trust him and hope that he gets an adequate replacement?
I'm well aware of that. But, in the absence of a HC appointment and until the window opens which is not until July 1st, ill-founded snippets and sporadic guesswork is all we have to work with.
Whatever happened to "groundless conjecture"? Oh, journalists and ill informed bloggers have a firm stranglehold on it.
While I would hate to lose Howson because as I have previously stated he is our best player IMO, everyone has a price. However should he leave for a penny less than £10M Webber would have a serious question to answer regardless of whoever came in as a replacement.
