I took Fulham from the fourth tier to Premier League champions in five seasons in the 96-97 version. As I recall Simon Morgan and Mark Blake were first teamers throughout the whole run. Happy days. I also took Hearts to back to back Champions League successes.
Back in those days I took Rushden and Diamonds to the champions league final, was 1-0 up against Barcelona until Saviola scored two 90th minute goals for them remember I had Hasselbaink and Lopez upfront with Kallstrom behind them.
My greatest achievement was with Atletico Madrid - winning the title & Champions League five years on the trot - mind you, they were a pretty decent team to start with so it was just a case of getting the tactics right and balancing bringing kids through and buying established players. Sixth season I had a shaky start, lost the first four matches and the buggers sacked me. There's no loyalty these days.
He's the AC Milan keeper, just made his Italy debut at age of 17 - reports I've read tip him as the next Buffon.
Saw Donnarumma play for Montella's AC Milan against Torino they won 3-2 with Donnarumma saving a last minute penalty. Wonder if Montella will ever become a Fulham manger in the Future. He played some exciting stuff with Fiorentina, not so much with Sampadoria and now has the un-envious task of trying to turn Milan round and back up the table.
Has there been any more news on the talks we were apparently having with Adebayor? He's a free agent so a deal could still be done for him even with the transfer window closed.
Nope, nothing doing the rounds. And would have thought as much chance of following him up as for the other BIG free, Berba. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
I want no part of Adebayor at the Cottage. Jokanovic seems to be actually building a team; we don't need any big 'I am's in our dressing room.
My Goodness Me .. 'Lord' Bendtner has signed for Nottingham Forest on a 2 year deal. And while here, a mention for an ex-Fulhamer .. Urby Emmanuelson has signed for Sheffield Wednesday.
