    Haha, sorry. It just seemed an odd character to choose. Mike is an irreproachable badass, whereas Hank is less than entirely competent.

    Haha I've just always liked Hank, he may be a complete muppet but I find him endearing, particularly in the first couple of seasons. Plus I think I'm more suited to being an incompetent DEA agent than I am a drug dealer or hit-man in reality, we all know Dan would make a **** Mike.

    Spurs signing a Romanian centre-half by the name of Vlad Chiriches for £8m. Anyone heard of him?

    Meanwhile, Jonno Forte lines up for Saints U21s against Welling, must have been a quick jaunt to Southend, DTLW!

    Well, it was my suggestion to do it before a game, so it's my ball, I'm captain, I get first pick, I take throw-ons and corners (though I don't like to leave the centre circle), take free-kicks and penalties, but we are noit using my jumper for a goal post (google this expression kids, it was how we used to do it ;))

    Oh and I am playing Centre mid, and no, I'm not running.

    Heard of him and seen a video of a couple of his goals and some random Luiz-esque tricks with the ball in his own defensive third, never actually seen him play properly but what I saw he seemed more suited to being a defensive-mid, again much like Luiz. No idea how good he is as a defender though, the rule of not being able to judge players from youtube videos goes doubly for defenders. Is this an actual done deal or like when they supposedly had Halilovic and Jedvaj tied up a month or so ago?

    Jonno was there last night in the director's box, as mentioned by club photographer.

    Phil Brown told Southend Echo reporter Chris Phillips this evening that he has held talks with three signings, two being trialists and one being Jonno Forte.

    If we play 5's generally you play it in an enclosed area so no throw ins or corners. I want to play in goal so you can do whatever else you like (except step in my area)

    They probably would, just likely not at a price deemed agreeable to SFC.

    In Forte's case, of course not. His deal ends this season I think. Makes sense for a club like Southend to loan him and cover a % of his wages to lift some burden on Saints until he leaves. Then, if it goes well, they may hope to keep him.

    No. They were all on high wages when they were bought and successive promotions with accompanying pay-rises means they're earning a lot more than these teams can afford.
