Nice pictures, when it reaches Roker Terrace is the time to worry, this sort of weather was normal a few years back.

Worked down the South Docks, 50-60's and we used to walk through that stuff 7'oclock in the morning to get to work, after being out all night on the lash. <laugh>

Lived in Monkwearmouth / Roker all my life and remember some real extreme weather in the early days. On fishermen, my old man used to say that the deep sea variety were the toughest of the lot, but these lads who fish off the groins and piers around here must run them close. <ok>

Drove past the cat and dog steps yesterday and it was a rough as I have seen in 40 years, daft buggers standing there getting drenched. Great photos by the way.
