“I was capable to start last week. I’ve trained hard this week and hope to start in the game away at Stoke at the weekend.”

“We've been playing really well at home but we know that we need to improve in order to win away.”

“We’ve got a good chance to win away this weekend and it is important that we take it.”

“Marco Silva has given the team a lot of confidence. Personally, I feel fit and back on track, and want to score more goals.”

Abel admits it's been a frustrating season in PL, says injuries have robbed him of top form.

“It is good news that we have Tom Huddlestone available once again. He is an important player for us and gives another option.”

“Omar Elabdellaoui remains unavailable for Saturday. We will make a decision on Harry Maguire and Dieumerci Mbokani tomorrow.”

“Stoke away will be a tough game for us. They are not enjoying the best run of results, but our focus is on ourselves.”

“It is important to end the run away from home. We need to compete and we need to believe it is possible to change the situation.”

“We have only taken one away point - against Manchester United - but I think Stoke is a good chance for us. We must believe!”

I truly hope Marco puts Meyler in for Elmo at right back now Elabdellaoui is out.

He usually does alright Meyler at RB, more sound than Elmo at the moment.

Trouble is if Hughes see meyler at right back he'll switch shaqiri and he'll run him ragged! I think 3 at the back would make shaqiri have to think about tracking back more?

Elmo swtiches off too mucn at present and I think would be run ragged by Shaqiri anyway. He's also stopped offering owt going foward.

I get your point, but can't see MS going with 3 at the back somehow. Meyler handled Martial for Man U at OT pretty well, with Shaqiri you just need to clatter him early on and he will melt into the back ground, Meylers good at that.

If ever we needed a good clatterer on the pitch it's Stoke away.

I just think we need a steady ship at the back? Daws, Harry & frog can cope with most things Stoke can throw at us! Stop the supply from the wings by giving them some defending to do and we might have a decent afternoon?

I wouldn't be against going 352, but just feel MS will go for 451 and bring on either Hernandez or Niasse, whoever doesn't start, with 30 minutes to go if the situation needs it.

I'd like robbo & marko as wingbacks! And turbo in the hole! Just think we need something different?

I don't think 3-5-2 is the way forward, we're **** at it and have been for a while. A flat back four and some tracking back will help against Arnautovic et al.

I just wonder if Sparky will look at us and think that he has nothing to play for, so he'll plump for Crouch up front.

But we're not great with a four away from home! I've got a bad feeling about the swans beating Watford!

I think Watford will bounce back, they'll see it as a a home banker. I actually feel like we could be 5 points clear by 5.30 on Saturday. Which would be amazing.

3 at the back for us creates all sorts of problems, it means Robbo has to do ALL of the tracking, ditto Elmo, it more often that not leaves huge gaps at full back which means we are peppered with crosses that our centre halves have to deal with. It also stops us overlapping on the wings, something recently we've got better at since Grosicki and Markovic joined the team.

Grosicki himself is just starting to find form, he's assisted 5 goals in 7 games. I'm not bothered about him scoring as long as he keeps setting up others and I don't think we want him out the team at the moment, which going 3 at the back would see him do.
