Well there's no rest for the wicked as a quick turnaround from Sunday's win against Middlesbrough brings us to a tough match away up at Stoke. No cold, winter nights dilemma's for us, as I forsee us sweeping to a confident win .

Charlie Austin has now been ruled out for 3 months, ditto Matt Target with both requiring an operation. Alex McCarthy & Jake Hesketh are also missing. I don't think there are any new injury concerns after the Middlesbrough match.

One of the Saints Midlands Massive's local games and probably my least favourite venue to watch football.
Stoke are flying at the moment so we will have to significantly up our game over recent performances if we are to get anything from this game
My most optimistic view is a hard fought 0-0
PS Don't drink the hot drinks in the stadium, they are disgustingly chemically tasting. Also be careful of the police stood in the exit gate when leaving after the game as they have traditionally tried to incite problems...Stoke, always a pleasure (not)

Agree its going to be tough - head says home win but heart is hoping we can get one on the break and shut-up-shop. Hopefully Tadic will be able to get through at least 60 mins during this match. Maybe start with Long too; just to keep them honest at the back?

Fran, I realise (now) that you meant that any travelling fans wouldn't be called upon to play (on the pitch), but when I first read your post I wasn't sure if you meant that any amount of Saints fans would still not help, or that Saints were such nailed-on favourites for this one that there was no need for any away fans.
