Not wumming - but apart from players superstitions, does it actually make any difference which numbers are worn by whom?

Not really. Could care less which number a player wears as long as he performs, though some numbers on the back of kits are more aesthetically pleasing than others.

Now you see, the no. 12 on the back of a shirt to me always meant "substitute". I always opted for no.4 after the great Peter Storey.......

I don't know if it would be aesthetically pleasing but my squad number would be 747 as in "jumbo"

Who will the New Striker be? Some rag said your club were thinking of bidding £50 million for Morata. Uuum! He scored 7 goals in Serie A which makes him about as prolific as your ex star man ..... Bendtner!!

We should get Sturridge and sacrifice Piers Morgan's soul to keep him fit. Not too keen on Morata myself as his scoring record is not very good but he has plenty of potential I will not lie..

How many matches would you get out of Sturridge? He makes Van Persie look superfit. You could do worse than tempt Sevilla to part with Gamiero!!

I think if we bought Sturridge we would essentially be signing his death warrant!!! He barely manages to play 3 games in a row for Liverpool, with our track record on injuring previously super-fit players, he'd be lucky to play 3 games during his whole contract with us!

IMO the best 'available' (in the loosest terms) player that seems to be knocking around is Lukaku. He seems to want out from Everton and wants to go to a bigger club, he's got bags of potential, a good goalscoring record and offers physicality and movement upfront. He may not tick every box but is certainly miles better than Morata and far more reliable than Sturridge. It would solve a big problem for us and allow us to strengthen other areas of our team (like an out and out winger, or another goal threat from out wide, a physical CM/DM and perhaps a CB).

Breel Embolo should be snapped up. We're not going to do anything significant next year with AW at the helm anyway so may as well get some top talent and give them some first team experience.

I've been a fan of Morata for a while so would be happy if we signed him.

He may not be prolific but he is young and has all the ingredients to be.

I like Morata and I think we will sign him. I would like another ST if possible. A finisher. Morata does everything. Lukaku would be my preferred choice though.

    Yeah Lukaku would be great.

    Lukaku
    Aubamayang
    Ibrahimovic
    Benzema
    Cavani
    Higuian
    Morata

I would take any of them. Or if Wenger is inteent on playing the big french lamppost then perhaps a Reus or Greizmann.

Sanchez---Giroud---Reus - would get us enough goals. But I would prefer a new CF.
