10 days to go until the big kick off.

Who do you think will be the starting XI for the game vs spuds (barring any further injuries)

Yedlin is out but that is the only real injury concern I'm aware of. Apart from that Defense picks itself.

    Elliot
    Mbemba, Lejuene, Clarke, Dummett
    Ritchie, Shelvey, Merino, Aarons
    Perez
    Gayle

    Darlow
    Manquillo
    Lacelles
    Murphy
    Hayden
    De Jong
    Mitrovic

    Elliot
Manquillo (I like mbemba but would rather not start square pegging round holes)
    Lejuene/mbemba
    Clarke
    Dummet
    Hayden
    Shelvey
    Ritchie
    Aaron's
    Dejong
    Gayle

It'll probably be something like that but maybe de Jong rather than Perez. Also the option of playing Hayden and Merino deep with Shelvey pushed up rather than Perez. Or try Ritchie in the number 10 with Shelvey and Hayden/Merino deep and Murphy on the wing.

Highlights it would have been nice to have signed a good number10. And a good striker.

Pretty much same but, as mentioned, would probs start Hayden instead of De Jong so we can try to stall spurs midfield first half. Would probs have manquillo at RB but i always thought mbemba could do a job there.
like that Murphy/Atsu could come on anytime at either wing. Imagine those two in second half against aisling legs

Aarons has got a lot to prove before he can be starting, and I'm not sure about plunging Merino straight in - Atsu and Hayden get the nod ahead of them for me.

And Gayle and Perez up front.

Looking like a distinctly Championship side, Spurs are gonna be a banker in my accumulator.

Yeh there's a good chance we'll get spanked but expected no less at the start of summer.
I think the match will be damage limitation so we just need a little positivity to take into the Hudds game.

Am I mental that I put us to draw on my accumulator? Yes, yes I am but the odds were ****ing good

I think Murphy will be on the wing. Hayden may be preferred ahead of Merino. Manquillo at RB if Yedlin is out. Gayle and Diame at 9 and 10. Suspect Lejeune will play alongside Mbemba or Lascelles for their pace over Clark given the opposition.

Guys, come on! We all watched last season, we all said what was needed, we haven't got it.

Actually what I fear isn't relegation, was nice to have a season winning. What I fear most is us approaching every game trying to do what is "necessary" to eke out the odd draw or snatch a win. Football for me is about being entertained, not just collecting points. Gayle's a risk, we already know Perez/Mitrovic won't get into double figures. We look ok-ish, but we're biased, so in fact we're probably worse than that.

Three first-team players short of mid-table in my book. Striker, No. 10, Left back.

I think that is more of a long term goal. If we can survive this season then we will be in a better position to build a more entertaining team with better quality players. We will have more financial clout with a season in the prem behind us, plus we will be more attractive to incoming players as a team that hasn't just been promoted. Survival is everything this season.
