Apologies for the late thread, been a busy couple of days and not entirely sure when would be the best time to do the thread, but now we've had our press conference, why not! After a long, long 10 day break following a cracking win over Bournemouth, it's back for the start of a crazy run of 3 games in 5 days, so plenty of squad rotation up ahead! This match is live on Sky Sports! Team News Austin, Targett, McCarthy, Hesketh and Pied are still injured, whilst Jordy Clasie has picked up a groin injury, but Orial Romeu will return. Wouldn't expect a first-choice XI side with games on the horizon as well. Possible Lineup: Forster, Cedric, Fonte, VVD, Bertand, Romeu, Hojberg, Davis, Redmond, Rodriguez, Boufal. Referee: Mike Dean Assistants: S Long, H Lennard Fourth official: S Attwell COYR, and Merry Christmas to You all!
Three straight wins should set us up nicely for the new year but I would accept DWD as a minimum for the next three games.

Give me six points in the other two festive fixtures, and I'd take a 4-0 loss in this one tbh. 7th place in the table after 20 games, with the January window open? Yes please.
Would struggle to place more of a first choice XI with what's available! Good to see Shane Long having a run out with the flag - surely now he can get a pen decision?!
Haven't we only lost to Chelsea at home this year? I think it will be a tough game and a low scoring draw.
I watched it. Claude is getting better at English, but the reporters then throw him with an idiom or two that he just doesn't get. His translator helps out, but by then the momentum has gone. To sum up: We're going to thrash the arse off Spurs; Virgil's not for sale; We are used to playing 3 games a week, so bring it on; Virgil's not for sale; We have good centre backs, including Fonte; Virgil's not for sale. That covers it I think!
I would stick with Yoshida over Fonte. Davis in for Reed and Romeu for Pierre would be my only changes. Clasie deserves another start.
I tried...I really tried to listen to Puel, but my mind kept wandering off....at one point I was reading the sponsors names at the back and then I wondered if the fly on my windowsill was dead or alive. I tried listening with my eyes closed to reduce the number of distractions, but to no avail as I nearly fell asleep. His voice lacks emphasis....he should record a sleep tape. Keep managing, Claude....just don't tell me about it.
I think the bookies have got this wrong, and offered a bit of value making us 19/10. I don't often burden Saints with my money, but I'll have some of that I think. That's nearly 2/1, and with home advantage we should be shorter than that imo.
Yes, he'd make a fortune doing ASMR tapes. He has a similar effect on me but I prop my eyes open with matchsticks.
You always make me chuckle. Was the fly dead or alive? As long as his rotation continues to be successful I don't care what he sounds like!
