We need more bite for this game so I'd give Lazaar a start (more defensive) and drop Mbemba into the CDM slot. He played the whole ACON there. please log in to view this image
I'd start the same team as last game but instead with Murphy up front. Mitrovic doesn't belong in our team. He needs to do too much on the ball and Murphy has more experience at this level as a target man. Time to give up on Mitro, at least a starter in a 4-5-1.
Think playing target man up top will suit brighton. Dunk and more specifically Duffy are big and strong in the air and won't get bullied around. Who ever plays LB is going to need some help as knockaert is in top form and will need 2 to stop him. Stop him and go some way towards winning the game.
Can't see anything other than a 3-0 defeat. Going to this one and fully expect to see Colback in midfield, Dummett at Left back and Gouffran on the wing. Diame will be back for Perez and we will put in our usual predictable negative football and play right in to Brighton's hands. Those asking for Anita to play - Not this game. Knockaert will skin him for pace. Playing one up top against Brighton with their physical presence at the back will just be comical. It will happen though. To beat Brighton you have to take the game to them and attack. We won't though and with the above rubbish starting we will be in trouble.
Agree with most of that - and if Rafa does revert to that line-up and defensive tactics, then it shows his limitations. As much as I love the guy being our manager, he needs to be braver in his selections if we are going to secure automatic promotion.
Is this really what passes for a Match Day thread. Limited information with no interesting facts or background. Yet another pitiful effort. Learn to read Lard A**e. What about Baldock. He seems to be on form at the minute. Also if we play Gayle by himself upfront with Gayle seemingly not confident in his fitness and he would be just muscled out of the game. Best have a physical presence up front to occupy Dunk and Duffy and have someone else coming through in support. You'd best keep them in your possession or Fat Boy will eat them as a snack on the way to the match.
Yeah baldock in good scoring form and offers good movement in behind. Him and Murray struck up nice partnership with Hemed (last season top scorer) being decent option from the bench.
We comfortably outplayed Brighton earlier in the season, but that was when Hayden was on fire and was controlling everything in midfield. NUFC.com said we had a clean bill of health apart from Aarons....does that mean Haydens fit again? Considering how bad we've been since Xmas, this one seems comfortable for Brighton,.but we shall see.
