Papers reporting today that the players got fed up of Schweinsteiger travelling the world watching his wife play tennis when he should have been recovering from injury.
Today's papers reporting Schweinie has been given a place in Man Utds 1st team squad. Give it until Christmas, Bastian in fine form - rolling back the years with dynamic and energetic performances, when it will be revealed that events over the summer were all part of an elobarate Mourinho plot to test his commitment and give him a chance to show the other players around him he wanted to play for the team.
I have always hoped the nonsense around this whole story was just that - nonsense. I'd happily have Schweinsteiger back in the 1st team. The choice of midfield with schweinsteiger, pogba, herrera, schneiderlin would be immense.
Funny that given the same players with LVG (+Carrick and Mata but -Pogba ) we would have said he has no clue about his best team. But with Jose we say he's now got great choice and it's a good thing. Perception is key
Lvg had plenty of choice, no different then to now bar Pogba. It was still a good thing, he just didn't have a clue how to employ them. Fellaini is also missing from that list. Can't think why!
Schwein isn't in the Europa squad. Basically he's been registered in the first team squad so that he can be picked in an emergency. Sad way to piss away one of the last year's of your career just to pick up a fat wage bill. My guess is he's unpopular with the players.
Money gets more important not less as one nears the end of one's career. Why do many (like Toure at City) sit in the reserves and draw huge wages to their end of their contract?
