The return of Saintsfcfan. Will add more if people actually want me to do it. If not then close and I'll happily let someone else. Right, I was hoping to not be needed again until later on in the season but here we go. Saintsfcfan brings another match day thread with saints in dire need of just a goal at the moment. With just 1 goal in the last four games, with that goal being a penalty, saints will be desperate for anything to just hit someone on the arse and roll in. This weekend sees the return of the Lying Dutchman and he band of merry men with delusions of grandeur. Everton started the season brightly but have since peeled off a little and are currently in a poor patch of form themselves. This is nothing when Saints couldn't score even if they ball was a millimetre from going in. Teams are anyone's guess but here's mine: Ff Cedric fonte vvd Bertrand Romeu Davis clasie Tadic (please gods) Austin Redmond Prediction: **** it 2-0 win.
No predictions. All my recent predictions have been ****. This will be the first game I've been at since Inter at home though. So a repeat of that would be good.
Forster, Cedric, Yoshida, Van Dijk, Bertrand, Romeu, Davis, Hojbjerg, Redmond, Long, Austin. 2-1 Saints pretty please.
I'm not actually that fussed if we lose to Everton. It's more I'm desperate to see saints playing attacking football and maybe testing the keeper. Oh and what happened to the happy flappy threads?!
We have had some decent points (v City and Spurs) and we have had some good results, but we need to get the odd win just to be buoyant. Losing can become a habit....just like winning. We will probably (though not certainly) lose to Arsenal, so a win on Sunday is needed to stop the rot (especially with the league being so tight).
Don't forget Arsenal have had a fair few fixtures themselves of late and will most likely play a team filled with reserves and youth. Wouldn't write us off just yet.
I am hoping that we will see a reaction against Everton. The players' disappointment at our faltering EL campaign coupled with the feeling of owing the fans one, no better game to repay than against our former manager. Forster Cedric Fonte van Dijk Bertrand Romeu Clasie Redmond Davis Long Austin
0-1 defeat for me. I know people like to rewrite history and say Ron was a crap manager but tactically he's spot on and will be licking his lips the way we're struggling to score at the moment despite our possession. They'll let us have the ball and pass side to side before breaking with pace with Lukaku, Barkley & Bolasie. Could be a hard watch.
I was about to post this exact team. Good choice. I was thinking of playing boufal and tadic together, thoughts?
