Also fits with our general happiness to allow players to leave without too much fuss once they reach 30. Means we get money for them before they spiral down in value. Vin
I wonder if getting a Dutch compatriot on board might help settle VVD down too. Long shot/straws, but y'know.
I don't particularly care how well/badly Arsenal, Chelsea or anyone else does with three at back. We're not them, quite obviously. But I do like it as a formation. At the very least, I think it is something to have in your armoury as a team. Although as Bmouth illustrated against us about 18 months ago, if you set up against it with a winger on either side who hug the touchlines, have two FBs who are similarly willing to attack, and are fairly adept at retaining the ball, then you can totally overwhelm the one wing-back on each side. Anyway, putting formations to one-side, I am all for another CB. But I'd still like to see Stephens given a reasonable amount of game time (ie ahead of Maya in the pecking order).
Theirs. We went 1-0 down, can't remember the scorer, and Ron changed it after about 30 minutes of being overrun. Think Davis came on for Maya and we went to a flat back four. Bmouth got a second later to win 2-0, when Fraser came out and flapped at a throw in. (But they were much less dominant after the formation change)
Yep, I remember it. Just checking on which game as they overran us second half st St Mary's, but already 2-0 up at that point.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40949969 BBC interview with Ralph. (only 3 minutes ) Still not selling.
Yeah, like that doesnt get said most times we buy a player. Like my barnet, is wearing a little thin. Then again, I dont have no sense of humour. And I cant get no satisfaction.
Ok, not sure where youre going with that one, but Im still working having started at 8am today so not going to get involved. Night.
You've obviously been butthurt by my comment about you not having sense of humour so you've jumped at the first opportunity to get back at me. It's a petty spitefulness, but as long as it makes you happy.
It was nothing of the sort, and I am far from upset by something somebody says on an internet forum. It was slightly tongue in cheek, but id say im anything but spiteful.
Signing Hoedt could be a very shrewd move this window. VVD is a utter twat, the one thing that the twat might respond to is a fellow countryman overtaking him and making him look an ass in a World cup year. If he has any morals above money, playing for his country and the opportunity to develop an outstanding partnership with a countryman has to be a huge deal. The pressure might bring a reality check to our benefit.
