http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...-questions-for-the-weekend.html?frame=3474210 An amusing article from the Telegraph listing 10 questions, including is Mourinho losing it (answer: yes). We are number 7: Southampton have rather a lot of good midfielders.
Great idea for this thread Fran. Often see articles from various football blogs which are not thread worthy, but of interest. This is a blog about Shane Long and why he deserves regular first team football http://tbrfootball.com/must-southamptons-shane-long-still-search-regular-first-team-action/
Makes a good point about Long not starting for club or country, but realistically he has a better chance of starting for Ireland than Saints. I love Long and having a striker like him to come on as a sub in a game drifting nowhere is fantastic, but he won't usurp Pelle or Mane unless they are injured...and JRod is in the wings as well. Only Shane can answer the question if he wants to stay here and wait his chance or go to side more in need of a starting striker. It's the lot of the footballer really.

http://www.southampton.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=418202 According to his BMI, Bertrand is a lardy....or perhaps BMI is a bit simplistic.
Fraser is afraid we will forget him...he keeps tweeting his progress. Don't worry, Fraser....we all thought of you on Saturday
If that was us we would be considered recovered, I've no doubt. Just shows that professionals footballers have to be absolutely right and fit to play football properly. Even if they are just goalies**. **to counter the observation - but he's just a goalie.
On that evidence, I would have thought he would be back this season. Potentially by January, if he is jumping on boxes for fun
http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/...sh-scouting-assignment-official-spotted-at-la Saints scout seen at Villareal game (along with 10 other EPL scouts)....nice job if you can get it. May not mean a lot, but watch this space.
Thing is, though, you can be as rich as you want - doesn't mean you'll have a portion of it sitting around in 50p coins in your car. He should have really shown Debby's aunt by just leaving his car there, and buying a new one on the other side.
http://www.fstech.co.uk/fst/Ryan_Bertrand_Silicon_Markets.php Ryan Bertrand gone into financial trading. Be careful, Ryan....very dangerous to go outside your comfort zone.
http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/10/2...that-life-at-southampton-is-difficult-for-hi/ Maya talking about how stiff the competition is for him at SMS. Have to say I think he is a good back up for us...obviously prefer Fonte and VVD, but Yoshida is a decent sub and he will get games this season. Stroke of genius to get him to sign a new contract...very hard to get back up in depth if you are outside the top 4.
http://the72.co.uk/38424/southampton-to-review-strikers-championship-loan/ Gallagher's loan being reviewed (according to Sun) because we rate him and think he isn't playing enough.
