Now yes, after two years is really the time to say goodbye.

In England, I'm ready and happy to start a new adventure; there are many thoughts that invade my mind and my heart and I'll try to put them in order in a few lines, but it's not easy.

Thank you Naples. Thanks to the president, to the society, to [Rafa] Benitez, to all the members of the staff and the teammates of these twenty-five months lived together in Italy and in Europe.

Thanks to the Napoli fans, unique and wonderful, for the many messages that I have been receiving on social profiles, I promise I'll try to read them all.

Thank you for always making me and my family feel at home and for granting me your hearts. I am happy and proud to be loved for who I really am, in and out of the field, and not for how others wanted. Exuberant, smiling for strength; in the good and the bad I've always been myself.

I really appreciate the way you supported me and encouraged me, in good times and in those less happy - and I will never forget your welcome at the airport.

A final thought I make out, even to those who I have often been criticised by, as a footballer with little personality and charisma, unable to handle the pressure of the large stage and the great club.

Well, I mean, I don't respond to words but I prefer to talk about the numbers.

In football the numbers are everything and to capture the reality of the facts, with the Blue Jersey I scored 25 goals in 3119 minutes, a goal every 124 minutes.

I quite liked his response in his first interview yesterday to the request for information about himself. He replied that he preferred to show people what he can do on the pitch, rather than talk. Whilst everyone likes a bit of chat, I certainly prefer evidence.
