Was a few years back but The Hobbit, talking heads venue, then vodka revs and all that. Used to have a mate who lived in St Denys.
Sounds painful. If it makes you feel better, I took the tiles off the bathroom wall earlier #quickfix
MK just always struck me as soulless. I know I've only ever driven through that part, but it looks like one huge industrial estate!
My experience too. If you are building a town from scratch, you could make it more interesting. I think @Bodinki lives there, so maybe he can put us right
erm.....I wouldn't say it is soulless, but its nothing special. Definitely not a big Indsutrial estate either, quite the opposite, its green as ****, if anything there are too many parks and fields. Bletchley, the part of MK where I am from, has been there for hundreds of years, Milton Keynes was built around it. It was where they decoded the Enigma machine in World War II. Bletchley used to be pretty nice when I was younger. I live just outside of MK now in a place called Leighton Buzzard, which is ancient, but a much smaller town and quieter. I have been to many, many, many worse places than MK. Birmingham is a **** hole, Hull is ****ing horrific. But without doubt, the worst City in the UK I have ever been to is Stoke-On-Trent. Stoke is almost post apocalyptic. ****ing Hell.
Bletchley has a lovely landfill site. I did a spell as a site engineer there. I can only agree that it's nice round those parts. Woburn Golf Club top class too.
The whole of Medway is to be fair.. My mums husband is a Gills fan so been to loads of their games, he used to live about 5/6 alleyways away from Priestfield and yeah the town is a ****ing dump
Always makes me laugh when people diss roundabouts. Best invention ever. Never any traffic jams in MK. **** Traffic lights and one way streets
That square outside of the main station could be a cool, buzzing place to meet but it's like the entrance to the dullest town in the world. Vast expanses of grey....
Thats because you were in CMK. (The main shopping and Industrial complex). The reason it looked like an Industrial Estate, is because you were in an Industrial Estate The City spans 90 square kilometres, its HUGE.
