I do not see it in that light. People want Bristol City to progress. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35502568 Given the fanfare provided by Mark Ashton I think it is fair to expect better. If Mr Johnson gains another six points, Is he again the man to take Bristol City forward? Does he have the In Ashton speak the right DNA, has he demonstrated the management skills to be granted anothertwo transfer windows and yet more millions of pounds the football club does not have?
I'm still in the out camp, made hard work of last night,Saturday much more important game. Let's see what that brings.
I'm glad we won, but doesn't change anything for me yet- We now play Burnley away. Its unlikely we would win the cup and even if we did, it wouldn't be any good if we were a league 1 club next year. The league therefore is far more important. LJ now has 3 games to save himself, Forest, Sheff Wed and Rotherham. I have said already, a minimum of 5 points, anything less I cant see why action wouldn't be taken. The prospect of beating Burnley away though would at least raise some eyebrows and improve our credibility again.
Burnley are so strong at home we're probably on a hiding to nothing. Even the magic of the Cup is unlikely to save us and they'll see it as an easyish ticket to the 5th round and who knows how far they can go.
Why those 3 games? We have to face Villa as well. If we are going to progress under LJ, especially when he has even more players who also have international pedigree, surely he should be judged against Villa as well. If he doesn't win any of the three games leading up to Rotherham, I honestly don't know how the dimmest person could justify him being in charge.
BBC say 12 shots, 1 on target, still bloody awful but they did have a go.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38619012
nearly went due to having City supporting mate in Ilkeston. reckons City had one shot on target and anybody wanting to watch that each week masochistic tendancies.
