http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39878063 Well it's been confirmed, Ashley has said Rafa AND Charnley get all of the PL money to spend. So will rafa get his boys or will Charnley splash it out on the likes some french wonder gems. I hear that Mario Balotelli is having a good time over there
I'm not privy to the internal workings and politics of the club but that being said, on balance, and response to your question I think Rafa will get his boys.
Calum Chambers, Charlie Taylor, Tammy Abrahams, Rufus Loftus-Cheek, Sigurdsson, Fabregas, Townsend and an 'unnamed' Serie A striker are Rafa's top targets so far. The rumours about the two Man City players are wide of the mark.
Balotelli and Santon would be good options and reasonably priced I'd imagine. They are also good mates from their time at Inter together which could help Mario level headed.
I would take Santon back to be fair. Knows the club, the fans, the expectations and was decent in the PL.
I'll remember this when they both sign along side Messi and we bring back Shola! Now were'd I leave those cans of special brew?
We should go for Messi's doppelganger.... http://edition.cnn.com/2017/05/09/football/lionel-messi-lookalike-football-iran/
Chambers would be achievable, and Abrahams would be a brilliant signing (im sure Chelsea would only let him go on loan though), ditto Sigurdsson and Townsend. Fabregas though? Is he not wanted any more at Chelsea. Absence of Cairney on that list is concerning.
No offence but if Fabregas didn't want to stay at Chelsea because he's not getting enough games (would love him to stay but he isn't our starter), i think there would be a host of top clubs who would want his service (you guys are big but just promoted) in which case we'd sell for cash rather than wasting his value by loaning out
Cairney would be a decent bit of business, fits the mould perfectly. Personally think its between Fulham and Wednesday for the final promotion slot
This is what most people (including the bookies) seem to think, but I think things could be more interesting. Reading have gone under the radar since Norwich slaughtered them, and theyve powered 3rd place, you dont get 85 points being a pushover. Huddersfield gave up at least 3 games ago, but this is more due to the fact they knew they werent gonna get automatic promotion and have being resting players and preparing for the playoffs. Reading at 5/1 could be a nice banker.
