QPR will be hoping to do the double over Cardiff City when the two teams meet in the Championship on Saturday at Loftus Road.

The Hoops comfortably defeated Cardiff 2-0 back in August but the Bluebirds have looked a far better team since appointing Neil Warnock in October and now find themselves in 12th position; easing the early season relegation fears.

Warnock will be returning to W12, a place where he enjoyed plenty of success as a manager and guided QPR to the Championship title back in 2011. He can expect an excellent reception from the R’s faithful with the former Sheffield United manager also stepping in on an interim basis last season when he helped steady the ship before the appointment of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink in December 2015.

Cardiff’s form in 2017 has been exceptional. Since the turn of the year they have won seven out of 11 games and recently put four past Derby and five past Rotherham. They had won three in a row but their run came to an end when Fulham held them to a 2-2 draw last week. They will be hoping to add to their five victories on the road this season.

In Kenneth Zohore they have a man in form with the striker finding the net six times in his last six games. The Welsh side like to share the goals around and have a potent attack with only six teams scoring more goals than them in the league this season.

The R’s were victorious in their last home league outing defeating Wigan 2-1. A difficult trip to Deepdale followed but Holloway’s side are certainly beginning to gel after a lot of player turnover in the last couple of months.

    Team News

QPR: Luke Freeman will miss out through suspension whilst Kazenga Lua Lua has been ruled out with a twisted ankle. Conor Washington and Grant Hall could return to the squad but Steven Caulker is still on the sidelines with a hip problem.

Cardiff: Neil Warnock has no fresh injury concerns following their 2-2 draw with Fulham last weekend and is expected to name the same 18-man squad. Bruno Manga remains out.

Think I might get one of those commemorative shirts. I've never been one for wearing 'colours', but these look rather tasteful.

Tomorrow also sees the return of former R's Matt Connolly, Junior Hoilett and of course Neil Warnock. All three achieved success while here. Hopefully we'll give them a great reception and that ultimately they leave our cave and return home to Cardiff unhappy.

    Excellent thread again.

Slightly off topic but does anyone know of a pub with BT sport in the Shepherd's Bush area to watch the late kick off after our game? I know a lot of places in the area don't have it (green, Adelaide etc), and that Belushis will have the rugby on...

Thanks Nines. I like your team except I do think we should play with a Keeper.

Anyone know if Morrison is fit yet. I'd love to see us play him fit in that team you put out Nines.

I doubt that he'll be fit enough yet but you never know. I just stuck him in there as I couldn't work out what the best starting Xl would be without Freeman or Lua Lua. Hopefully not a defender playing the holding role in midfield again at home.

I'm up in Dublin tomorrow so won't be able to participate in proceedings on here but hope to catch up later in the evening.......

Let's hope the day is a fitting tribute to those who put the R's on the map 50 years ago.......

If I had more time I would have posted "I quite like your team Nines". I am very pleased that I was spared the embarasement.

Strange team. Manning, Pavel and Furlong all sent to the Bench. Ravel there too. Goss starts. But it is so hard to read on the Official that could be wrong.
