Last time my dad in law was down we had a few games on the footy but on the same team against the AI because it would have been too easy for me to beat him, it was a good laugh with a few beers. I'd lay them up on a plate for him and he'd twat it over the bar from a few yards out haha, all good fun.
If that's the bit at the start then I'd definitely recommend getting back on it, I wasn't particularly into it for a while but it's a real top class game once you do.
It is yeah, for me it's like this, in most RPGs I mainly enjoy exploring and fighting stuff but side quests (and main ones) are generally dull and I drift off while talking to boring NPCs whereas the Witcher is the opposite. Exploring is ok and combat is functional but the storytelling and secondary quests by far make up for it. You can forget about killing 10 molerats and so on there's absorbing stuff to do that is often genuinely funny or really dark. It's also polished to a level you never see in a game so huge. I got the GOTY version, it's pretty cheap now.
May get this on PC then as the Xbox One & PS4 are in the front room and don’t get any time when the young one is about
Does come across like an 'Alone in the dark' kind of game where you turn all the lights of and immerse yourself on your own. Fancy the game but don't really have enough alone time also.
I know the feeling mate, I've somehow managed to play it through twice but it took some time. Compared to Skyrim etc it's more spectator friendly, it's got a sense of humour and me and the wife often talk through the pros and cons of decisions but yeah at the end of the day it's a big game that takes time. Btw there's an in game card game called Gwent, it's mint. When I've only had time for a quick blitz on it it's always good to have a few rounds of cards.
To be fair if you were playing as the current Sunderland team that's not bad going. Doesn't matter who the opposition was.
